During construction it was my responsibility to act
on behalf of Huron College related to cost control, change orders, and
related operational needs I was present at all site meetings. Both
projects were on time, on budget, and workmanship, particularly in the
1991 classroom wing, has stood the test of time. Our Food Court is
running through 4,000 to 5,000 students a day and wear and tear,
although early, has been minimal. My most important experience in
dealing with both George and Bob Hayman and their supervisors, has been
the desire displayed by them to work as a team (client, builder,
architect, sub-trades, engineers), in order to reach the main project
objectives. The construction of our classroom wing took place during the
academic term, so somehow we had to minimize the noise level to allow
for teaching, exam writing, and basic residential living. We achieved
this with minimal disruption, a testimony to their sensitivity to client
operational needs.
I would highly recommend this general contractor,
particularly given their strong experience at University and College
construction, but more importantly because they will listen and do their
absolute utmost to comply with your project goals and objectives.
Yours truly,
Michael Sheridan
